Your responsibilities

As a primary school teacher in Leksand Municipality, you will work pedagogically and socially based on the goals and guidelines of the organization as well as applicable governing documents. There is a strong focus for Leksand Municipality's school activities now and in the future on the development of students' reading and writing skills, which is integrated with the current curriculum that you are well acquainted with. You will be responsible for the pedagogical content of the teaching and work to promote students' learning and development.

Your responsibilities include collaboration with colleagues as well as communication with students, guardians, and other authorities. You will, together with your colleagues, participate in projects aimed at developing teaching and increasing students' goal fulfillment.

You will work as a teacher at Åkerö School. The positions that need to be filled are teachers for grades 4-6 and one teacher for F-3. There may be opportunities for more teaching assignments at the school as we are in the midst of planning for the fall.

Your profile

  • We are looking for you who are a licensed primary school teacher

As a person, you are flexible and used to independently planning your work, you are solution-oriented and have a good ability to see situations from a holistic perspective.

You are also clear, confident, and creative and have the ability to inspire our students. You enjoy collaborating in a team and sharing your experiences for collegial learning that contributes to development at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Together with your colleagues, you work to create a safe, structured, developing, and stimulating learning environment for the students.

About the workplace

Åkerö School is a F-6 school with approximately 320 students. There are 170 students in the after-school program. The staff at Åkerö School is committed and cares about ensuring that every student succeeds. We work in teams and value our subject knowledge. There is an active student health team with access to a school nurse, special educator, school counselor, and study and career counselor. The after-school program is responsible for our popular break activities. We work closely together to give students the best possible conditions to achieve good results in school.
